Rental Questions Answered

We believe in making mobility simple and transparent. Here are detailed answers to some of the most common questions about our rental process and plans. Our goal is to ensure you have all the information you need to choose the best option and ride with confidence.

How is my final trip cost calculated?

Your final cost is a simple sum of two components: a one-time 'unlock fee' to start the ride, plus a 'per-minute rate' for the duration of your trip. For example, a 10-minute ride would be $1.00 (unlock) + 10 * $0.35 (minutes) = $4.50. If you are using a Glide Pass or a Pro subscription, the unlock fees and/or per-minute costs are waived according to your plan's terms.

What happens if a Glide Pass runs out of minutes mid-ride?

If your pass minutes are depleted during a ride, you won't be interrupted. The ride will seamlessly switch to our standard Pay As You Go per-minute rate for the remainder of the trip. You will receive a notification in the app when your pass minutes are low so you can plan accordingly.

Can I pause my ride without being charged?

Yes! Our app includes a 'Pause' or 'Stopover' feature. When you pause a ride (e.g., to run into a store), the scooter's motor is locked, but the trip timer continues at a significantly reduced per-minute "hold" rate. This ensures the scooter remains reserved for you at a lower cost than the full riding rate. This feature is not available in all areas, so please check the app for details.

Does the Monthly Pro daily minute allowance roll over?

The included minutes for our Monthly Pro subscription (e.g., up to 60 minutes per day) are designed for daily use and do not roll over to the next day if unused. The allowance resets every day at midnight, giving you a fresh set of minutes for your daily travels. Any riding time beyond your daily allowance is charged at a discounted Pro member per-minute rate.

How do I get a receipt for my corporate expenses?

After every ride, a detailed receipt is automatically sent to the email address associated with your UrbanGlide account. Additionally, you can access your complete ride history and download receipts for any past trip directly from the 'Ride History' section within the app. For corporate accounts, a monthly consolidated invoice is sent to the program administrator.

Are there any geographical restrictions on where I can ride?

Yes, all rides must begin and end within our designated operational zone, which is clearly marked on the map in the app. While you are free to travel outside this zone during your ride, you will not be able to end your trip until you are back inside the approved area. The app also highlights 'No Parking Zones' (e.g., parks, private property) and 'Slow Zones' where scooter speed is automatically reduced for safety.
